NOW HIRING: TRANSMISSION / HEAVY LINE TECHNICIAN Willy’s Transmissions and Air Conditioning | Kāneʻohe, HI 96744 $45 PER HOUR | FULL-TIME | EXPERIENCED TECHNICIANS EXPERIENCED TRANSMISSION & HEAVY LINE TECHNICIAN WANTED Willy’s Transmissions and Air Conditioning is looking for an experienced Transmission / Heavy Line Technician to join our team in Kāneʻohe, Hawaii.

We’re seeking a skilled automotive technician with hands-on experience in transmission repair, heavy line work, advanced diagnostics, and major mechanical repairs. If you can diagnose complex problems, perform major repairs, and take pride in getting the job done right the first time, we want to hear from you!

COMPENSATION

$45 per hour Full-time position Paid training and professional development opportunities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Diagnose and repair transmission, drivability, and performance issues. Perform transmission removals, installations, and repairs. Complete heavy line repairs and major component replacements. Diagnose mechanical and electrical concerns using professional scan tools.

Perform engine and diesel-related repairs as needed. Interpret diagnostic trouble codes and follow proper repair procedures. Use hand tools, specialty tools, and shop equipment safely. Verify completed repairs and ensure proper vehicle operation. Maintain accurate repair orders and service documentation. Work collaboratively with technicians and service personnel.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

QUALIFICATIONS

Hands-on heavy line experience is required. Previous professional automotive technician experience; 4+ years preferred. Transmission repair experience; 3+ years preferred. Strong transmission removal, installation, and repair skills. Experience performing heavy line and major mechanical repairs. Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

Automotive electrical diagnostics experience. Familiarity with professional scan tools and diagnostic equipment. Ability to work independently while maintaining high-quality repair standards. Dependable work habits and strong attention to detail. Additional qualifications: Diesel repair experience is a plus. ASE certifications are preferred.
