Senior Wastewater Engineer

Hazen and Sawyer is seeking a Senior Wastewater Engineer for our Wethersfield, CT office. As part of our Wastewater team qualified candidates will be involved with a wide range of wastewater infrastructure projects, focusing on treatment process design and construction. This will encompass all phases of design, including conceptual/feasibility evaluations, project management, preparation of design reports, permitting, development of construction drawings and specifications, and support of construction services.

Key Responsibilities

Position will include high level of client development and management, supported by our local offices and New York City Corporate Headquarters. Support the development of technical treatment strategies, selection of treatment processes, developing process design criteria, and delivering projects Support coordination and collaboration with clients Coordination with internal technical specialists in all practice areas and discipline design professionals for project delivery.

Support planning, design, permitting, and construction of wastewater-related projects. Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to effectively meet the client’s needs Candidate shall also be able to support preparation of proposals and presentations Fieldwork and site visits from planning through construction may be required with occasional travel Required Qualifications: minimum of 10 years of experience (a minimum of 20 preferred) Minimum professional qualifications are a BS degree in environmental, civil, or mechanical engineering PE license Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
