Job description
On behalf of our client, we are searching for a Mechanical Designer for a position in North Bay, ON. Hourly Pay: $28-34/hr Responsibilities: Develop mechanical system design solutions based on sound engineering principles. Research, design, and evaluate equipment and systems to meet all regulatory, client, and company requirements.
Use SolidWorks and other design tools to create and finalize models and drawings. Provide technical support to both internal teams and external clients. Collaborate closely with engineers and project managers to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet quality expectations. Specify components and materials to ensure performance conformance.
Interpret client requirements, identify and resolve engineering issues. Analyze project needs and perform technical calculations to support design accuracy. Commission customized products and systems both in-house and at customer facilities. Maintain adherence to safety policies, quality standards, and industry regulations.
Handle multiple design projects simultaneously and independently. Maintain accurate records and documentation. Demonstrate a high level of integrity, professionalism, and problem-solving ability.
Qualifications
Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or an equivalent post-secondary credential. 2+ years of experience as a designer in a multidisciplinary engineering environment. Strong foundation in mechanical design principles and detailing practices. Proficiency in SolidWorks and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent organizational, planning and time management abilities.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
