Dishwasher

Primary Purpose The Dishwasher position is primarily responsible for cleaning and sanitizing dirty items in an efficient manner while maintaining a sanitary work environment. The position is also responsible for restocking cleaned items to appropriate stations and disposing of waste/recycle/compost according to the standards of the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

The Dishwasher has responsibility for the following: Demonstrating a customer-first attitude and living Tutta Bella’s culture, mission and values. Cleaning all flatware and kitchen utensils properly and efficiently. Restocking cleaned items to the appropriate station. Understanding and demonstrating Tutta Bella’s commitment to an eco-friendly waste/compost/recycle program.

Taking out garbage, recycle and compost as needed. Assisting prep cooks with prep as needed. Maintaining a clean work environment. Keeping sanitation buckets in the kitchen and dish area fresh and stocked with a towel. Assisting with all housekeeping tasks, including stocking inventory, dusting, periodic deep cleaning, emptying trash and other tasks as assigned.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED The Dishwasher must demonstrate the ability to: Work in a team environment. Read and follow written procedures. Learn and perform in multi-task environment. Effectively work with guests. Take direction from others as well as work independently. Maintain current food handler’s permit and demonstrate knowledge of health regulations.

OTHER WORK REQUIREMENTS Must be 16 years of age or older. Good attendance. Available to work shifts at varying hours as need arises. May require being on your feet for long periods of time. WORKING CONDITIONS Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, and lifting products and supplies weighing up to 50 pounds and repetitive hand and wrist motion.

At times, includes working outdoors in various temperatures. This position includes work with sharp and hazardous equipment as well as work with phones, computers and other electronic equipment.
