Cashier - Part-time

Creative Dining Services at The University Of Saint Francis is looking for a Part-Time Cashier to join our team! If you are an energetic, detail-oriented person who thrives in a fast-paced environment and loves interacting with people, this is the perfect opportunity for you. Please note: This is a part-time position where weekend availability is required.

Core Responsibilities

• Provide friendly service by greeting guests with a warm welcome as they enter and a sincere thank you as they exit the dining area.
• Process transactions accurately including cash, checks, credit cards, and debit cards.
• Master the register by operating point-of-sale systems, card machines, and other transaction devices with ease.
• Balance your drawer by following established cash handling procedures, counting back change correctly, and ensuring accurate accounting of all transactions during your shift.
• Communicate effectively with guests and team members to ensure a smooth, positive dining experience. The Ideal Candidate Will Have
• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Strong basic math and reading skills.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with our guests.
• Previous experience operating a cash register or handling money (preferred, but we will train the right person).
