Job Title: 5th Grade Teacher Location: Elsberry Middle School – Elsberry R-II School District Start Date: August 14, 2026 Position Overview: The Elsberry R-II School District is seeking a dedicated and student-focused 5th Grade Teacher to join the team at Elsberry Middle School. This position is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact during a critical transition year as students develop greater independence, academic skills, and personal responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction across core subject areas Create a structured, positive classroom environment that promotes learning and respect Use data to monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly Support students’ academic, social, and emotional growth during the transition to middle school Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers to support student success Collaborate with grade-level teams and participate in professional learning opportunities Maintain accurate records and uphold district and state expectations Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field Valid Missouri teaching certification (Elementary Education) or the ability to obtain Strong instructional practices and classroom management skills Commitment to building positive relationships with students, staff, and families Compensation & Benefits: Salary based on the district’s teacher salary schedule, commensurate with experience Full Paid Board Insurance Why Join Elsberry R-II?
