Tenant Services Specialist (Hhcda)

Location: HO-CHUNK HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT AGENCY Department: Ho-Chunk Housing and Community Development Agency Summary: This position is with our partner business Ho-Chunk Housing and Community Development Agency POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direct supervision of the Tenant Services Supervisor will provide education, awareness, and safe and clean housing for low-to moderate-income families.

Will provide assistance to Native American clients looking to become owners of affordable housing.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
2. At least one year of experience in housing counseling and/or knowledge of the financial sector preferred.
3. Must have, or willing to obtain, certification in Homeownership Counseling.
4. Good oral and written communication skills.
5. Must have professional demeanor and networking skills.
6. Ability to work with clients on an individual basis, along with group settings, and public speaking events.
7. Experience in office procedures and working with a variety of personalities.
8. Experience with government and private loan programs preferred.
9. Experience with HUD/Native American programs and with LIHTC's mortgage financing and loan guarantees preferred.
10. Knowledge of computer programs.
11. Be available to work weekends and evenings as needed.
12. Valid driver's license, and proper insurance may be required.
13. Must maintain confidentiality.
14. Preference will be provided to Native Americans.
