About the Firm: We are partnering with a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Harrow that offers a comprehensive range of financial services to a wide portfolio of clients, including sole traders, SMEs, and limited companies. They are now looking to appoint a Part-Time Payroll Manager to take ownership of their payroll function and ensure accurate and timely processing for a variety of clients. Role Overview: This is a standalone role suited to someone highly organised, detail-oriented, and confident managing multiple client payrolls independently.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice or payroll bureau setting.
Key Responsibilities
Manage weekly, fortnightly, and monthly payrolls for a diverse client base Set up new starters, process leavers, and handle changes to employee details Administer pension contributions and auto-enrolment duties Process statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP) and ensure full HMRC compliance Submit RTI reports including FPS, EPS, and year-end forms (P60, P45) Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure GDPR compliance Handle payroll queries from clients professionally and efficiently Liaise with HMRC and pension providers where required Stay updated on payroll legislation and ensure all processes remain compliant Key Requirements: Previous experience managing payrolls, preferably in an accountancy practice or bureau environment Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and statutory obligations Proficiency in using payroll software (Bright.
