Overview

Pipelayer Suncore is hiring an experienced Pipelayer to install water, sewer, and storm drain systems. Things You’ll Do Align and position pipes to prepare them for connection and sealing.

Check pipe slopes and grades using lasers, grade rods, transit levels, and other instruments. Connect pipe sections, seal joints, and cut pipes to required lengths. Dig trenches to specified depths. Read and interpret blueprints for above- and below-ground utilities. Grade and level trench bases using tamping machines and hand tools.

Backfill and cover pipes with soil or other approved materials.

Requirements

At least 1 year of pipelaying experience with underground utilities or a similar field. Strong knowledge of water, sewer, and storm drain systems, dry utilities, and other civil construction projects. Knowledge of pipe-laying methods, practices, and procedures. Ability to bend, sit for extended periods, and work in hot conditions.

Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance. Strong commitment to workplace safety.
