Director, Engineering

Oversees and directs the day-to-day operations of the Engineering / Plant Operations, including facilities management, construction projects, equipment maintenance/upgrades and administratively responsible for clinical Engineering Department. Ensures the operational reliability of the utility systems of the Hospital and its off-site locations.

Ensures compliance with all Hospital, local, state, federal and regulatory agencies requirements related to facilities management and construction. Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, Minimum of seven to ten (7-10) years of experience, with five to seven (5-7) years of experience in the hospital setting.

Knowledge of all applicable federal, state and local regulations in associated field. Knowledge and understanding of all TJC Environment of Care Standards. Knowledge of Engineering and Engineering principles to ensure proper work product from staff and contracted service / construction vendors. Excellent interpersonal, time management and supervisory skills.

Proven ability to supervise staff, contract service and construction vendor activities.
