Job Description: Cybersecurity Specialist Summary This role combines active participation in cybersecurity operations with the delivery of practical, hands-on training to students. The successful candidate will possess a robust understanding of core cybersecurity principles and extensive experience utilizing security tools.

Responsibilities

Design and conduct training sessions ranging from introductory to intermediate levels in cybersecurity. Instruct students on foundational topics including network security, ethical hacking methodologies, and industry-standard security practices. Develop and implement practical laboratories, exercises, and real-world cybersecurity projects to enhance student proficiency.

Familiarize learners with essential security utilities, including Wireshark, Nmap, Burp Suite, and various vulnerability scanning tools. Facilitate vulnerability assessments and support basic security testing procedures. Oversee system and network monitoring to identify and address potential security threats. Aid in the deployment of security policies, controls, and operational best practices.

Contribute to the investigation of security incidents and the documentation of analysis findings. Author comprehensive learning resources, including assignments and assessment materials. Provide mentorship and career guidance to students pursuing opportunities in the cybersecurity field.

Requirements

Demonstrated strong foundation in cybersecurity concepts and theory. Proven hands-on experience with industry-standard security tools and technologies. Exceptional ability to articulate technical information clearly and effectively to diverse audiences. Experience in curriculum development, including the creation of labs, exercises, and educational materials.

Proficiency in network security principles, ethical hacking techniques, and vulnerability management.
