Job Details: Job Location: Greensboro Science Center

• Greensboro, NC, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $11.55, Part-Time Custodian Under the supervision of the Operations Manager, Custodial Assistant Managers and the Lead Custodians, the part-time Custodian works closely with the Custodial team to maintain a clean and safe environment for the general public. Custodians maintain equipment and other supplies while dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and general cleaning. This is a part-time, non-exempt position with a 15 to 25 hours per week. Weekend and holiday availability. Shifts range between 7am and 10pm during normal hours of operation.

Job Responsibilities

Perform cleaning duties such as cleaning bathrooms and floors, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish Ensure public facilities are well-maintained and stocked with product (restrooms, hand-washing stations, hand-sanitizer stations) Ensure pathways are debris free. Clean snow from the sidewalks. Collect garbage and recycling throughout the facility Maintain clean picnic areas Assist with small cleaning and repair projects Notify management of the need for repairs Respond to radio calls for Custodial services Other related duties as assigned Job Requirements: Valid NC driver’s license preferred Knowledge of small power tool use preferred Self-driven and motivated Positive Attitude Environmental Factors: Ability to work outside in all weather conditions Frequent lifting, bending, reaching above shoulder lever, climbing stairs and prolonged standing Use of commercial strength cleaning chemicals The GSC is committed to creating an inclusive workplace and commits to taking appropriate measures to enable persons with disabilities access to employment opportunities by providing reasonable accommodation1.
