We are seeking a detail-oriented Planner/Buyer to execute Material Requirements Planning (MRP), develop timely production schedules, and coordinate the effective use of available resources. This role supports customer service and inventory goals by managing production planning activities, communicating priorities and risks, and partnering with Operations, Purchasing, Finance, and other key stakeholders in a GMP manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily production planning and convert master schedule requirements into executable material requirements plans. Plan, create, and release production orders in response to MPS demand, forecasts, and MRP exception messages. Maintain and communicate production schedules in SAP, including routing sequences and lead times. Monitor planning metrics, identify significant variances, and communicate current and future risks to stakeholders. Maintain product availability information, MRP parameters, bills of materials, routings, and applicable engineering changes.
Partner with Operations and Purchasing to resolve production-flow issues and ensure raw-material availability. Prepare monthly production reports, corporate metrics, budget-related information, and productivity measurements. Create purchase requisitions to support the MRP plan and participate in supply chain consensus reviews.
Support technology and product transfers, inventory reviews, continuous improvement efforts, regulatory compliance, and workplace safety.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, Arts, or a related field. Minimum of 3.5 years of experience in a GMP manufacturing environment and a planning function, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
