Director, Social Services

The Director of Social Services will provide counseling and social service support to residents within the skilled nursing department. They will also assure regulatory compliance and accurate documentation as the resident may transition through different levels of care at Seabury or admission/discharge from the hospital.

The Director will work with an outstanding team of trained staff in different departments, who together oversee the resident's status and condition, providing intervention assistance as necessary and an excellent family and resident experience. Position Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Social Work required, MSW preferred.

2+ years of LTC experience preferred. Specific Skills: Ability to read, speak and understand the English language clearly. Ability to work with the frail elderly. Aptitude for communicating and planning for the infirm elderly. Strong communication skills. Effective counseling skills. Ability to operate with a calm, professional, thorough approach.
