Winch Truck Operator - OTR

Southern Transport is seeking an experienced Winch Truck Operator to safely transport heavy industrial, construction, and oilfield equipment. Operators are responsible for loading and unloading equipment using winch and hydraulic systems, securing loads, conducting vehicle inspections, maintaining required documentation, and ensuring compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company safety standards.

Equipment moved may include construction equipment, oilfield equipment, compressors, generators, and other specialized machinery. Successful candidates are dependable, safety-focused professionals who can operate independently while maintaining strong communication with dispatch, field personnel, and customers. This role requires working outdoors in changing conditions and navigating active jobsites while protecting people, equipment, and property.

Valid CDL Class A driver's license required Minimum 3 years of CDL driving experience Minimum 2 years of winch truck operating experience; c ompressor moves, rig moves, or flowback experience Experience loading, transporting, and unloading heavy equipment Strong understanding of load securement and DOT compliance Ability to safely operate winch and hydraulic systems Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong safety record and professional work history Ability to pass pre-employment screening
