Manager Middle Office & Operational Support Firm Overview: Stable Rock is an integrated professional services platform supporting over 500 clients including investment and asset managers, early-stage and midsize businesses, portfolio companies, and founders. Job Opportunity and Responsibilities: Stable Rock is seeking a Manager, Middle Office & Operational Support, to join our Investment Management department.
This role oversees middle office operational workflows across multiple client engagements and ensures the accuracy and integrity of trade lifecycle processes, portfolio reconciliations, and operational reporting. Managers serve as the primary operational contact for client teams, prime brokers, and administrators while supervising the day-to-day work of Senior Associates and Associates.
This role focuses on ensuring operational processes are executed consistently while identifying opportunities to improve workflows and strengthen operational controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily trade, position, and cash reconciliation processes across client portfolios.
- Review reconciliation outputs and coordinate resolution of trade breaks and discrepancies with prime brokers and administrators.
- Supervise corporate action processing including dividends, splits, mergers, and other portfolio events.
- Review administrator NAV packages and investigate material differences against portfolio systems.
- Oversee preparation of operational reports including performance estimates and portfolio analytics.
- Monitor portfolio accounting systems to ensure accuracy of trade capture and position data.
- Serve as the primary operational liaison to clients, administrators, and counterparties.
- Support onboarding of new clients including operational workflow design and system setup.
- Supervise and mentor Senior Associates and Associates. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Experience: 4+ years of experience in hedge fund operations, fund administration, or middle office operations. Skills:
- Strong understanding of financial instruments and the trade lifecycle.
- Experience reviewing reconciliation workflows and operational reporting.
- Strong client communication and relationship management capabilities.
- Ability to supervise operational workflows across multiple client engagements. Software and Technology: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Portfolio Accounting Systems (Axys, Tradar, Enfusion, Alphadesk, etc). Bloomberg. The Stable Rock Difference

- Broader operational scope across trade lifecycle management, reconciliations, performance reporting, and client onboarding

Compensation
Highly competitive base salary ranging from $115,000–$140,000, based on experience and location, with eligibility for a discretionary performance bonus.
