Manager Outsourced CFO & Accounting Services Firm Overview: Stable Rock is an integrated professional services platform supporting over 500 clients including investment and asset managers, early-stage and midsize businesses, portfolio companies, and founders. We provide deep expertise across outsourced and fractional CFO services, accounting and bookkeeping, middle office and operations, regulatory and compliance, tax strategy and planning, IT, HR, insurance services, and AI-driven automation.

Clients work directly with a team of experienced professionals who take the time to understand how their business or personal finances operate and provide practical support that adapts as needs change. Job Opportunity and Responsibilities: Stable Rock is seeking a Manager, Outsourced CFO & Advisory Services, to join our Investment Management and Business Services teams.
This role is responsible for managing the delivery of outsourced CFO support, financial reporting, and accounting operations for clients including investment and asset managers, early-stage businesses, and growing companies. Managers oversee day-to-day client engagements and ensure the accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial operations and reporting processes.
In addition to accounting oversight, Managers work with clients to strengthen financial infrastructure, improve reporting visibility, and support strategic financial decision-making. This role combines hands-on execution with advisory support and is ideal for professionals who enjoy working closely with clients while helping scale their financial and operational capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day execution of client engagements delivering outsourced CFO, financial reporting, and accounting services.
- Oversee financial reporting processes including general ledger activity, reconciliations, and reporting packages.
- Review NAV calculations, capital accounts, management company accounting, and related financial reporting for investment management clients.
- Provide financial leadership support including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow analysis, and financial modeling.
- Serve as a primary liaison to clients, auditors, administrators, and other professional service providers.
- Support clients in strengthening financial infrastructure, reporting frameworks, and operational processes.
- Supervise Senior Associates and Associates and provide mentorship and technical review.
- Assist with onboarding new clients and supporting operational transitions. Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Experience: 4+ years of experience in accounting, financial advisory, fund accounting, or outsourced CFO environments. Certifications: CPA preferred. Skills:
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting processes.
- Experience supporting financial strategy, budgeting, and operational finance functions.
- Ability to manage multiple client relationships in a fast-paced advisory environment.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with business owners, founders, and finance teams. Software and Technology: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word. Familiarity with general ledgers and fund accounting platforms (e.g., QuickBooks, Investran, Allvue, Geneva, or similar). The Stable Rock Difference

Compensation
Highly competitive base salary ranging from $115,000 to $140,000, based on experience and location, with eligibility for a discretionary performance bonus.
