Police Officer In-Training

The City of St Augustine Police Department is excited to announce one position to sponsor an individual wishing to attend the police academy in January of 2027.  After successful completion of the Police Department hiring process, the City of St Augustine will pay the selected candidates an hourly wage while in the academy.

Additionally, upon successful completion of the FTO program provide 100% tuition reimbursement for the academy.  The candidate must be employed with the Police Department for a minimum of two years.    Candidates for the program will be based on the hiring needs of the Police Department.
