AV Support Specialist

Job Details: Job Location: Network Services

• Hamden, CT, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $26.88 - $27.66Hourly, Set up and operate Audio-Visual equipment for events and meetings. This may be during the day, after hours or weekends. Provide support for Projectors, Digital Displays, and Smartboards in schools and programs throughout the state. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues on the spot. Perform routine maintenance and updates on AV equipment. Coordinate with clients to understand their AV needs and requirements. Test equipment before events to ensure everything functions properly. Manage inventory of AV equipment and order supplies as needed. Train staff and clients on how to use AV systems and equipment. Work with event coordinators and other stakeholders to plan AV setups. Document setups, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference. Provide on-site support during events to ensure seamless AV operations.

Qualifications

Associates degree in Audio/Visual Production, Broadcast Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience. Certification in AV technology or equivalent experience. Proficiency with a variety of AV software and hardware systems. Experience with live streaming and video conferencing platforms. Strong project management and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Familiarity with the latest trends and advancements in AV technology. Proven experience as an AV Specialist or similar role. In-depth knowledge of AV equipment and software. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to lift heavy equipment and climb ladders. Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
