• North Haven, CT, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $53.00 - $53.00Hourly, Certified Learner Engagement Specialist, LEAP Job Description This is a grant funded position to support Area Cooperative Educational Services Learner Engagement Attendance Program (LEAP). It is anticipated that this program will run from now until June 2027, as funding permits. The hourly pay rate is $53.00 per hour.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This employee will conduct engagement teamwork in one city to increase student learner engagement as measured by attendance and participation in engagement activities, including in-class instruction. Specialists will be members of a three-person team and focus on one or more of the following areas: direct instruction in educational needs, mental health or social-emotional matters, or technology issues.

Specialists will participate in training and regularly scheduled meetings with their Team Leader to assess needs, share strategies, and provide feedback on status of evaluation metrics. The specialist will reach out to disengaged learners, conduct home visits, employ strategies to increase participation in educational, fun, and supportive activities for learner in conjunction with other specialists.

Skills in: Mental Health /Social Emotional Issues Conducting home visits Providing direct support to families and students Effective communication Technology including Microsoft Office Collaboration Ability to: Effectively assess learning and provide training Problem-solve as issues arise and communicate forwardly Work well within time constraints Synthesize and communicate needs as they arise Qualifications: An experienced certified educator, employed at Bridge and interested in working with students and families.

A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a variety of constituents and to work collaboratively.
