OVA Plus Program � Regular Education Learning Coach Position Title: Regular Education Learning Coach � OVA Plus Program Department: Instruction Program: OVA Plus Work Schedule: Monday�Thursday, 3:00�6:00 PM Employment Status: Part-Time Position Summary The OVA Plus Program provides a flexible learning option for students who benefit from alternative school hours.

Students complete online coursework in a structured, supportive learning environment, with the Regular Education Learning Coach providing guidance, accountability, and academic support to promote student engagement, progress, and course completion. The Learning Coach facilitates student learning by helping students develop effective organizational skills, establish academic goals, manage assignments and time, and maintain progress toward course completion.

This position emphasizes student support, relationship-building, and the development of independent learning skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise students participating in the OVA Plus Program and maintain a safe, orderly, and productive learning environment. Support students in completing online coursework and meeting established academic expectations and deadlines. Assist students with organization, goal setting, assignment planning, time management, and independent learning strategies.

Provide individual and small-group academic assistance within the Learning Coach's area of certification and expertise. Monitor student attendance, engagement, academic progress, grades, and course completion. Identify students experiencing academic difficulties, disengagement, or barriers to successful course completion and communicate concerns to appropriate school personnel.

Establish and maintain positive, professional relationships with students that promote accountability, motivation, and academic success. Communicate student progress, concerns, and support needs with appropriate teachers, administrators, and other school staff. Encourage students to develop self-advocacy, responsibility, and effective study habits.

Maintain appropriate student records and comply with district policies, procedures, confidentiality requirements, and applicable educational regulations. Perform other duties as assigned by the appropriate administrator.

Qualifications

Valid Pennsylvania Grades 7�12 teaching certification in English, Mathematics, Science, or Social Studies . Strong communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills. Ability to support students in an online learning environment and promote independent learning. Demonstrated organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

Ability to monitor student progress, identify areas of concern, and communicate effectively with school personnel. Commitment to creating a supportive, structured, and student-centered learning environment. Working Conditions and Schedule Work hours are Monday through Thursday, 3:00�6:00 PM.
