Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced, dependable, and safety-conscious Commercial Roofing Repair Technician to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of commercial roofing systems. This position is responsible for identifying roofing issues, performing quality repairs, documenting completed work, and communicating effectively with customers, project managers, and team members.

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively. This position requires frequent travel to various job sites, including out-of-town and overnight travel as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Conduct detailed inspections of commercial roofing systems to identify leaks, damage, deterioration, and other repair needs. Diagnose roofing issues and determine appropriate repair methods and materials. Perform repairs and maintenance on commercial roofing systems, including leak repairs, material replacement, flashing repairs, and sealing of penetrations.

Work with a variety of commercial roofing systems, including TPO, EPDM, PVC, modified bitumen, BUR, and metal roofing. Identify potential safety hazards and maintain a safe work environment in accordance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies. Document completed work using digital photographs, service reports, inspection findings, and repair summaries.

Communicate professionally with customers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members regarding repair needs, completed work, and recommendations. Operate, inspect, and properly maintain roofing tools and equipment, including ladders, hand tools, power tools, and heat-welding equipment. Maintain a clean and organized work area and properly secure tools and materials at the end of each job.

Complete assigned work efficiently, accurately, and within established schedules. Maintain a high standard of workmanship and professionalism on every job site. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of commercial roofing experience, with an emphasis on repair and maintenance. Working knowledge of commercial low-slope roofing systems, including TPO, PVC, EPDM, modified bitumen, and BUR. Ability to identify roofing defects and effectively troubleshoot leaks and other roofing issues. Ability to read and understand blueprints, specifications, repair scopes, and related project documentation.

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also functioning effectively as part of a team. Must be able to lift and carry 50+ pounds, climb ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods.

Ability to work safely and effectively at heights. Ability and willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred. Willingness and ability to travel to multiple job sites, including out-of-town and overnight assignments as required.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements Work is primarily performed outdoors and may involve exposure to heat, cold, wind, rain, and other weather conditions. Regularly required to work at elevated heights and on commercial rooftops. Frequent climbing, standing, walking, bending, kneeling, lifting, and carrying materials and equipment.

Must be comfortable working around ladders, roofing equipment, tools, and construction-related hazards. Travel between multiple job sites is required, with out-of-town and overnight travel as needed. Travel Requirements Travel is an essential function of this position. Employees may be required to travel to various commercial job sites based on business needs.

Travel may include multiple days away from home and overnight stays. A valid driver's license and ability to travel independently between job sites are required.
