Cleaning Staff-Day Shift

• Gainesville, VA, Salary Range: $13.50Hourly, The Cleaning Associate is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment throughout the facility. This position ensures all assigned areas are cleaned and maintained according to company standards while supporting a safe, organized, and professional workplace.

Essential Duties

& Responsibilities Clean and sanitize all assigned work areas, common areas, and facilities. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and maintain floors and surfaces. Clean and disinfect restrooms, break rooms, and other common spaces. Empty trash and recycling containers and dispose of waste properly. Replenish paper products, soap, sanitizer, and other facility supplies as needed.

Clean windows, doors, furniture, fixtures, and equipment as assigned. Follow established cleaning schedules and complete daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning tasks. Safely use and store cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment. Follow all company safety, sanitation, and workplace policies. Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged equipment, or supply shortages to management.

Assist with special cleaning projects as requested. Maintain a professional attitude and work effectively with team members and management.

Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience Previous cleaning, janitorial, custodial, or housekeeping experience preferred but not required. Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently and efficiently. Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Good organizational and time management skills.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Commitment to maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment. Physical Requirements Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds. Ability to use cleaning equipment and supplies safely.

Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday. Work Environment This position works in various areas of the facility and may be exposed to cleaning chemicals, varying temperatures, and moderate noise levels. Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required. The Cleaning Associate plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for employees, customers, and visitors while supporting the company's operational standards.
