Days Employment Type: Part Time (24 hours/week) Hours: 12-hour shifts Location: St. Joseph Medical Center – Kansas City, MO We are seeking a Monitor Technician , sometimes referred to as our Telemetry Monitor Technician (Tech) or Tele Monitor Tech. A Tele Monitor Tech will be responsible for observing and interpreting patients’ heart rhythms and other vital data transmitted by telemetry equipment.

This role is crucial for identifying and alerting the medical team to any abnormalities or critical changes in a patient’s cardiac or health status. The Monitor Technician detects early warning signs of cardiac events, ensuring timely intervention, and improving patient outcomes in our telemetry unit.

Responsibilities

Cardiac monitoring, observe and interpret heart rhythms (ECG/EKG) displayed on telemetry monitors Recognize normal and abnormal cardiac patterns, such as arrhythmias, and document findings Notify nurses or physicians of any significant changes in a patient’s heart rhythm or vital signs promptly, escalate critical issues (e.
