Paraeducator, Full-time (31.25 hrs/wk)

Paraeducator Positions ~ 31.25 (full-time) ASSIGNMENTS: Assignments for paraeducators vary. There are three categories associated with paraeducators: Program. Attached is a list of programs throughout our District with a description of each. Inclusion. Our inclusion paraeducators support the needs of special education students.

Other. Other assignments for paraeducators could include cafeteria, kindergarten, library/media, or other special assignments.

OVERVIEW

OF DUTIES THAT ARE/COULD BE ASSOCIATED WITH PARAEDUCATOR POSITION: Ability to work with students with special learning and social/behavioral needs. Able to carry out behavior plans. Flexibility/Team member. Lifting of students may be required. Toileting and/or diaper changing may be required. Experience working with school age children.

Physical and Psychological Training (PMT) certification preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate degree or equivalent required. Para Pro exam available at applicants cost of $55.00. Behavioral management skills for children. Ability to work in active environment with groups of children and ability to take direction from multiple staff. Attachment(s): Vacancy
