Job Title: Procurement Manager – Hospital Construction Location: Flexible / Site‑based (UK) Salary: Competitive + Benefits Employment Type: Permanent, Full‑time About the Role We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead and manage procurement activities across major hospital and healthcare construction projects .
This is a pivotal role, ensuring the effective sourcing of materials, equipment, consultants, and subcontractors while maintaining compliance with healthcare, NHS, and public‑sector procurement standards. You will work closely with project delivery, commercial, and clinical stakeholders to secure best value, manage risk, and support the successful delivery of complex, safety‑critical healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned to hospital construction programmes, budgets, and timelines Lead end‑to‑end procurement activities for works packages, equipment, and professional services Manage tendering processes, including PQQs, ITTs, evaluations, and contract awards Ensure compliance with relevant procurement regulations (e.
g. NHS, public sector, and framework requirements) Negotiate commercial terms and supply agreements to achieve best value and mitigate risk Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, subcontractors, and framework partners Work closely with project managers, commercial teams, designers, and clinical stakeholders Monitor supply chain performance, cost certainty, and delivery against programme Identify and manage procurement‑related risks impacting safety, quality, and programme Support sustainability, social value, and MMC/off‑site manufacturing objectives About You You will be a commercially astute procurement professional with proven experience delivering complex construction projects within a healthcare or similarly regulated environment.
