Software Engineer II Front End (React/TypeScript)
Job description
About the client Our client is a leading global cybersecurity company that delivers innovative solutions to protect businesses and individuals from evolving threats. Its mission is to give organizations secure, scalable technology that stays resilient against cyber challenges.
About the role
We are looking for a Software Engineer II, Front End to join the product development team behind the client's Insider Risk Management product. You will deliver features in the product's web application that help security teams protect corporate data and reduce insider risk. You will own user interface work in React and TypeScript with increasing independence, partner with backend teammates on APIs and raise the quality and consistency of the product experience, working with UX, Product Management, Information Experience and other development teams.
This is a mid-level role: you will own substantial frontend work, contribute to design and help the team ship reliably, without being the team's primary technical lead. This is an AI-first engineering organization: teams use AI-powered tools across coding, testing, documentation and operations, and look for engineers who champion their adoption and help establish new ways of working.
What you'll do
- Design and implement frontend solutions for larger slices of work, with monitoring, supportability, testability, accessibility, performance and a consistent user experience in mind.
- Write and maintain unit, integration and system tests, and help keep test quality high as the product evolves.
- Debug and resolve issues across the web stack, including the browser, client-side state and the APIs the UI consumes.
- Work with REST/JSON APIs and partner with backend engineers to ship end-to-end features, identifying API gaps and agreeing on practical contracts.
- Help with production issues and escalated customer questions, and take part in the team's on-call rotation.
- Write design documents and give constructive, specific feedback on others' code and designs.
- Demo progress to the team and stakeholders.
- Help break down work and surface risks early in story mapping sessions.
- Turn product and UX requirements into cohesive UI designs, identifying gaps, contradictions and trade-offs.
- Contribute your own ideas in design discussions and code reviews.
- Share knowledge and help teammates get unblocked on frontend work. Tech environment React

- Experience with accessibility, design systems and web performance.
- Experience designing and building component-based UIs, managing client-side state and consuming APIs.

- The discipline and rigor to deliver critical features to a high quality bar.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment, and with Agile or lean processes.
