ABOUT IMMUNARA Immunara is an AI biology lab building biological superintelligence. We're developing biological foundation models that learn how human biology works, and AI agents that reason over biological data to accelerate scientific discovery. Understanding disease means connecting what happens across molecules, cells, tissues, organs and patients.

Today, much of that knowledge is fragmented and captured in forms that AI cannot readily interpret or reason over. We believe AI can bring these pieces together to reveal biology that existing approaches cannot. OUR APPROACH We're building foundation models trained on large, proprietary, multimodal human datasets to model disease and predict how biological systems respond to interventions.

Alongside this, we're developing AI agents trained through reinforcement learning to reason over data and models, generate hypotheses and design experiments. Our ambition is to build AI systems that can understand and discover biology - radically improving how we develop new treatments. We've raised a large funding round from leading Silicon Valley investors to achieve this goal.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Design, train, and evaluate deep learning models for high-dimensional biological data, including molecular and clinical datasets.
• Build robust training infrastructure so that a small, elite team can run ambitious experiments with speed and scientific discipline.
• Develop rigorous evaluation frameworks for biological prediction.
• Turn biological questions into modelling problems, and results into biological insight.
• Build towards agentic biology: systems that can reason over biological data, generate hypotheses, design experiments, use scientific tools, interpret results, and improve through feedback.
• Work closely with a world-class team at the intersection of biology & engineering to reason from first principles about how to compute biology.
• Help define the technical stack, research standards, and engineering culture of Immunara from the ground up.
• Contribute to the our mission of simulating biology, and ultimately curing disease.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• High agency — You are comfortable with ambiguity, move fast without needing permission, and take ownership of hard problems. Like us, you're intense and opinionated!
• Elite ML/DL depth — You have a deep understanding of the fundamentals of machine learning and have built research-grade models.
• Engineering taste —You make hard things simple and take creative approaches to modelling problems.
• Research judgement — You can design experiments, diagnose failure modes, and decide what to try next, while staying anchored to what the work must ultimately make possible for patients, scientists, and drug developers.
• Experience with Bio-ML — Ideally, you have worked with biological data such as single-cell, transcriptomics, proteomics, imaging, EHR, clinical trial, or other high-dimensional biomedical datasets.
