Partnership Lead

Job description

Harmony is on a mission to be the best life safety partner to work with and for. Rated an “Outstanding Employer” by Best Companies in 2026, we are only getting bigger and stronger, and we’re looking for A-players to help us get there. We are passionate about making a difference and obsessed with quality. Our goal is to build a world where every resident and patient can sleep safely at night, knowing the building they are in is 100% safe.

Harmony Fire is a fire safety consultancy with in-house construction capability. We tell building owners where the risk lies, and then we put it right, all under one roof. Our clients are social landlords, councils, housing associations and NHS trusts, all responsible for the safety of residents, patients and staff. Our offer spans consultancy, passive fire protection, fire doors and firestopping, mechanical and electrical, service and maintenance, and Auro technology.

At the centre is Lifeguard, our practical framework that moves organisations beyond compliance for its own sake towards resident and patient-centred assurance. As Partnership Lead, you will win and develop new business across a portfolio of 50 to 75 housing and NHS accounts, and take accountability for the relationships and wallet share behind them.

Reporting to the Director of Business Development, you will own the opportunities across your accounts, from the first conversation through qualification to a clean handover to our Client Relations team, who close the deal. The work starts with understanding. You will research your clients in depth, learn what they are under pressure to deliver and diagnose their need early, before anyone talks about a product.

You will set the strategy for each account and decide where to go deep. You don’t need to be the technical expert. Your job is to know when a conversation needs one of our subject matter experts, and to bring in the right one at the right time. You will be one part of a tag team. Lead Gen researches your accounts and books meetings, you lead the conversations and qualify the opportunities, and Client Relations closes the deal and passes growth signals back to you.

That means no cold calling, no building contact lists and no chasing small jobs that don’t fit the account plan. Your time goes on the account. You will have no direct reports, but you will lead through influence, working with people from asset and compliance teams to directors and chief executives, and helping clients see Harmony as one joined-up partner across consultancy, Lifeguard, construction and technology.

The role is based in London, with travel to our other offices and to client sites across the country where required. Find and develop new business through your own outreach and by directing our subject matter experts. Own the pipeline, moving opportunities forward and bringing deals to the business that meet our go/no-go criteria, validated and qualified rigorously.

Diagnose the client’s pain early, before proposing a solution. Hand qualified opportunities over cleanly to Client Relations with the pain, the contacts and the commercial context, and act on the growth signals they pass back. Run the account strategy, researching clients and publicly available information in depth and mapping the whole account, not just one or two contacts.

Book and lead client meetings, bringing in the right expert at the right time. Grow wallet share using our Land and Expand approach and workstream matrix to identify what we could do next for each client. Take accountability for the relationship, owning each account’s relationship score and NPS. Champion Lifeguard, looking for the opportunity to move each client onto our framework.

Keep pipeline and account data accurate and current. A track record in business development or new business, taking opportunities from first conversation to qualified pipeline, ideally in housing, the NHS or a comparable regulated sector. Competence in SPIN and BANT, and in consultative and enterprise selling: complex, multi-stakeholder sales with long cycles, where understanding the client’s need leads.

Credibility with senior stakeholders and the ability to build relationships across a whole organisation. Real curiosity about the client’s problem. You ask good questions, listen, and are willing to say when we aren’t the right fit. Enough knowledge of fire and building safety to hold a credible conversation, and the judgement to know when to bring in an expert.

A structured, self-directed approach to managing a portfolio of 50 to 75 accounts and deciding where to go deep. Discipline with data, keeping pipeline and account records accurate and up to date. A collaborative approach to working with Lead Gen, Client Relations and experts across the business. Willingness to travel to Harmony offices and client sites across the UK where required.

This is a rare opportunity to own a portfolio of housing and NHS accounts at a business that is genuinely shaping how the country addresses its fire safety obligations, in a role built so your time goes on strategy and relationships rather than cold calling and admin. At Harmony, we ask a lot — and we give a lot back.

The hours are real, the standards are high and the work is demanding, but for those who show up, deliver and go the extra mile, the rewards follow. A-players here enjoy a competitive salary, a Personal Development Plan with leadership mentoring and ongoing training, unlimited holiday, a performance bonus, private medical insurance, enhanced maternity and paternity, lunch, snacks and refreshments on us every day (fresh fruit and Takeaway Friday included), a team social budget, cycle to work, an auto-enrolment pension, two major company events a year and our Reward and Recognition scheme — including European mini-breaks for those who go above and beyond.

It is a collaborative, high-energy environment focused on doing things the right way — and none of it is a perk for showing up; it’s what we share with the people pulling the business forward. Harmony is an equal opportunity employer. We consider all applicants for employment regardless of age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, family or parental status, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origin, religion or belief.

We want everyone who works with us to feel valued and to make a difference.
