• The Cook at OVATION COMMUNITIES is responsible for preparing high-quality meals that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents. This role is crucial in ensuring that our community members enjoy nutritious, delicious, and visually appealing dishes in a welcoming environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and menus, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new recipes and menu items that cater to the diverse tastes of our residents.
• Monitor food inventory and place orders as needed to ensure adequate supplies for meal preparation.
• Assist in the training and supervision of kitchen staff to promote efficiency and teamwork.
• Adapt meal preparations to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions of residents.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of food to prevent contamination and spoilage.
• Participate in regular meetings with the culinary team to discuss menu planning, resident feedback, and kitchen operations.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and provide excellent customer service to residents and staff.Qualifications: Required Education:
• High school diploma or equivalent. Culinary certification or degree is preferred but not mandatory. Required Experience:
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a cook in a professional kitchen environment.
• Proven experience in preparing a wide variety of food items, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts.
• Experience in maintaining kitchen equipment and managing inventory.
