Administrative Assistant - Fine Arts Department

REPORTS TO: Fine Arts Director POSITION OBJECTIVE: First Baptist Academy is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable Administrative Assistant to work closely with the Fine Arts Director, supporting the Fine Arts department's daily administrative operations. This is a part-time position requiring 15 hours per week.

This individual plays an important role in helping the Fine Arts Department operate efficiently and effectively, allowing teachers and students to focus on creativity, learning, and artistic excellence. QUALIFYING CHARACTERISTICS: The Administrative Assistant should display a commitment to Jesus Christ demonstrated in professional and personal life, a commitment to Christian education; a calling to the ministry of meeting the educational needs of children and young adults; Have excellent written and verbal communication skills; organized; team player.

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• Strong alignment with the Christian values and mission of First Baptist Academy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, professional, and highly communicative.
• Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
• Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining confidentiality.
• ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
• Prepare and organize departmental paperwork and documentation.
• Make copies and manage general clerical tasks.
• Maintain schedules and department calendars.
• Coordinate information and distribute communications to Fine Arts teachers.
• Assist with departmental planning and other administrative tasks as needed. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position. EXEMPT STATUS: Non-Exempt WORK SCHEDULE: 15 hours per week throughout the academic year.
