Maintenance Assistant

Schedule: 7:00AM - 3:30PM FLSA Status: Non-exempt: PT / FT, some weekends or holidays as needed Preferred Qualifications: Experience in building maintenance and upkeep, working with hand and power tools and general knowledge of plumbing, HVAC and electrical ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB, DEPARTMENTAL EXPECTATIONS Assist Maintenance Director with daily upkeep, general repairs, painting, landscape upkeep and other duties as assigned Keeps exterior entrances clean in a safe manner paying particular attention to front, side and emergency entrances.

Removal and transport of trash, infectious waste, hazardous and linen from designated areas. Performs special and extra duties as instructed by supervisor, including, but not limited to: window cleaning, wall washing, furniture moving, unloading trucks and delivering supplies. Reports to work when scheduled and demonstrates flexibility Work time is used productively, equipment and supplies are taken care of properly (cost conscience use of supplies, disposable/non-disposable/recycled), breaks and lunches are within the time allotted.
