Receptionist

About the Role

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Receptionist to join the team based in Rowhedge and the University of Essex Medical practice. The position is offered on 20 hours per week, with a minimum of 3 days. To be considered, you will also need to have flexibility to cover other shifts.

Responsibilities

Booking appointments Greeting patients Answering queries from patients and outside agencies and/or signposting to appropriate members of staff Updating patient records, processing correspondence Liaising with patients using various different types of communication methods We reserve the right to retract the advert if a suitable person is found before the end date.

About the Candidate To be considered for this position, you must have the following: Excellent communication skills, written and oral Strong IT skills Experience of a busy reception/public environment/providing customer services G ood standard of education including Maths and English Experience working within primary care desirable Experience of EMIS would be desirable, however full training will be given to a suitable candidate You will have a friendly and positive approach towards patients and other visitors either in person or over the telephone About Us We are a traditional GP practice that makes the care of our patients our first concern.
