Junior Formulator

Dermatouch is looking for a Junior Formulator with 2–4 years of experience to join our R&D team. The role combines hands-on skincare formulation with broader research work, including ingredient research, product benchmarking, and testing. You'll work alongside senior formulators and cross-functional teams to take products from concept to pilot batch.

Responsibilities

Formulation Develop and improve skincare formulations such as creams, serums, cleansers, and sunscreens Prepare lab-scale batches and troubleshoot formulation issues Plan and monitor stability and compatibility studies, and analyse results Support pilot batches and scale-up along with the manufacturing team Research & Development Research new skincare actives, ingredient technologies, and delivery systems Benchmark competitor products and analyse market and ingredient trends Coordinate efficacy, safety, and claim-support testing with external labs Evaluate raw materials and work with vendors for samples and technical data Work with the marketing and product development teams to turn research insights into product concepts Documentation Maintain accurate records of formulations, trials, research findings, and test data Prepare and maintain regulatory and safety documentation for new and existing products Requirements B.

Sc./M.Sc. in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field 2–4 years of experience in skincare or derma R&D Good working knowledge of emulsions, skincare actives, and formulation techniques Experience with stability testing and R&D documentation Ability to research and interpret scientific literature and ingredient data Familiarity with cosmetic regulatory requirements Good attention to detail and ability to work independently as well as with different teams Benefits A learning-focused and collaborative work environment Involvement in both formulation and research, from concept to pilot batch Scope to build skills and grow within R&D
