Speech Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP)
- DeSoto Memorial Hospital has an opening for a Fulltime Speech-Language Pathologist with a focus on inpatient adult evaluations and outpatient pediatric care in our Arcadia office. Key Duties & Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings. Provide direct therapy services to patients across age groups (pediatric, adult, or geriatric as applicable). Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation. Educate patients and families on treatment strategies, home exercises, and communication techniques. Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and accreditation standards. Participate in discharge planning and continuity of care coordination.
Requirements
& Qualifications: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist. Knowledge of evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred.
