A large-scale iron ore operation in Sierra Leone is seeking an experienced Planning Supervisor to lead Maintenance Planning and drive safe, reliable, and cost-effective plant performance. Role Purpose Supervise and execute all activities related to Maintenance Planning. Department: Engineering & Maintenance Reports to: Planning Superintendent Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop maintenance planners and schedulers
- Prepare annual and short-term (S+6) maintenance plans and budgets
- Plan preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities
- Manage work orders, resources, and shutdown planning via CMMS
- Monitor maintenance KPIs and produce performance reports
- Ensure alignment between maintenance, operations, and engineering
- Enforce HSE standards and promote Zero Harm culture
- Train and upskill national staff through structured coaching What We Are Looking For Knowledge & Skills
- Strong CMMS and maintenance planning expertise
- Proven leadership and team management ability
- Solid understanding of mining safety and compliance
- Analytical, structured, and cost-focused
- Strong communication and coordination skills Experience
- Minimum 5 years in Maintenance Planning (mining environment preferred)
- Experience working in Africa or developing environments essential Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or similar)
- Master’s degree in Maintenance or Reliability – advantageous
