We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and customer-focused Retail Assistant to join our retail team on Saturdays.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, providing excellent customer service and contributing to a welcoming and inclusive community environment. Our retail service supports customers, colleagues and work experience students, helping people develop skills, confidence and independence.

About the Role

As a Retail Assistant, you will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of our retail environment by: Providing excellent customer service and creating a positive experience for visitors. Processing transactions accurately, including cash, card payments and refunds. Assisting customers with products and offering recommendations where appropriate.

Supporting work experience students and encouraging participation. Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming retail environment. Monitoring and replenishing stock levels. Promoting products, displays and special offers. Serving refreshments where required. Following health and safety procedures and contributing to a safe environment for everyone.

Building positive relationships with customers, colleagues and the local community.

About You

Have excellent communication and customer service skills. Enjoy working as part of a team. Are approachable, friendly and enthusiastic. Have a positive, proactive attitude and enjoy solving problems. Can work flexibly to meet service needs. Are organised and able to take responsibility for your own work. Share our values of dignity, respect, inclusion and person-centred support.
