Associate, Corporate & Commercial

Our client is a national law firm with a strong Brisbane presence. They’re looking for a mid-level Associate to join their growing corporate practice. The team works with founders, investors and growth businesses, with a strong slant towards the technology sector. You’ll get real responsibility and run deals, not just support them.

What you’ll be doing Running and supporting M&A transactions from start to finish Drafting and negotiating shareholder agreements, constitutions and other governance documents Acting on capital raisings, investment rounds and restructures Preparing and negotiating commercial contracts, including services and supply arrangements Leading due diligence and coordinating deal workstreams Working directly with clients and giving practical, commercial advice as deals move along What you’ll bring Around 3–5 years’ PQE in corporate/commercial law, from private practice or in-house (they’re open on PQE for the right person) Solid experience with shareholder and corporate documents Sharp drafting skills and the confidence to manage a transaction An interest in tech, startups or the venture space (experience there is a bonus) A commercial mindset and a natural ability to build client relationships Why this role High-quality transactional work with plenty of direct client contact A supportive team that takes your development seriously Hybrid and flexible working A competitive salary and a strong wellbeing and benefits package For a confidential discussion, please reach out to Ben via benjamin.
