Associate, Insolvency & Commercial Litigation

Our client is a well-regarded national law firm with a large, established disputes group. They’re looking for a mid-level lawyer to join their Sydney team. You’ll work alongside senior Partners on a varied mix of restructuring, insolvency and complex commercial disputes. It’s a hands-on role where you’ll run your own matters and build your profile.

What you’ll be doing Acting on corporate restructuring, insolvency and bankruptcy matters, both contentious and advisory Running complex commercial litigation from initial advice through to resolution Drafting pleadings, affidavits, submissions and correspondence Taking matters through the dispute resolution process with a good level of independence Working directly with corporate, financial and public sector clients What you’ll bring 3–5 years’ post-admission experience in Australia (essential) A background in insolvency and restructuring, plus some commercial litigation experience, ideally from a mid-tier, top-tier or specialist disputes firm Clear, persuasive drafting and a sharp eye for detail The confidence to run matters and manage clients The ability to juggle a busy practice and competing deadlines Why this role Interesting, complex matters with real responsibility Senior Partners who invest in your development and career progression Hybrid and flexible working, with WFH equipment provided A competitive salary and recognition program Generous paid parental leave and flexible leave options A collaborative, inclusive culture with regular social events and community involvement For a confidential discussion, please reach out to Aimée via aimee.
