Classified Substitute

Job Summary

If qualified, this position may cover vacancies in Classified positions such as Instructional Aide, Special Education Aide, Noon Duty Aide, Cafeteria Worker, Custodian, Heath Aide, Clerical, Campus Safety, and Library Clerk. All substitute positions are on an as needed basis only. Hours, location and pay rate vary depending on the assignment.

Job Description / Essential Elements ON CALL; AS NEEDED EMPLOYEE POSITION DEFINITION: The classified substitute employee, under the supervision of the principal or immediate administrator, will perform a variety of tasks related to the education of elementary and secondary students in the absence of the regular employee.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for the regular job duties of an absent employee in any number of job functions including food service, clerical, custodial, maintenance, classroom instructional aide and/or bus driver.

REQUIREMENTS

Pre-employment Physical/Drug Screen, Livescan fingerprint clearance (paid by applicant) and negative Tb result.

Requirements

/ Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent GED Applicants must provide a copy of high school diploma or GED, along with the completed application. Comments and Other Information Successful applicants must obtain and/or provide the following before beginning employment: Fingerprint clearance from the Department of Justice and/or FBI Proof of Tuberculosis clearance Social Security Card for payroll purposes Proof of eligibility to work in the United States Employment with Bear Valley Unified School District is not complete or official until applicants meet all pre-employment requirements, including Board of Trustee approval.
