You'll also develop the consulting, communication, and collaboration skills needed to work effectively with clients and multidisciplinary teams throughout your career.Your role and responsibilitiesAs an Associate Strategy Specialist in IBM's Enterprise & Industry Strategy practice, you'll help organizations solve complex business challenges, identify growth opportunities, and create long-term value through strategy, transformation, and innovation. As part of our Enterprise & Industry Strategy practice, you'll work with clients to reimagine business models, improve performance, enhance customer and employee experiences, and navigate evolving market dynamics. No two projects are exactly alike—you could support organizations across healthcare, financial services, public sector, federal sector, automotive, energy, retail, industrial, or manufacturing industries. Work side-by-side with experienced strategists, consultants, data specialists, AI practitioners, and business leaders to solve real-world challenges. Through mentorship, career coaching, certifications, AI-enabled consulting, and hands-on client experiences, you'll develop the skills needed to grow into a future consulting leader. Conduct market and industry research, analyze business and financial data, evaluate strategic opportunities, and contribute to recommendations that help clients solve complex challenges and drive long-term business value. You’ll receive a status update email for each application, so be sure to check your IBM Careers account regularly — it’s the best way to get a centralized view of which roles you have active applications against.Required technical and professional expertise * Currently completing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Public Policy, or a related field. * Foundational understanding of business strategy, market analysis, business operations, organizational performance, or transformation concepts. * Ability to analyze complex business problems, evaluate data, identify trends, and develop structured recommendations. * Exposure to strategy, business analysis, consulting, research, analytics, transformation, or process improvement initiatives through coursework, projects, internships, case competitions, or student organizations. * Understanding of how technology, data, Artificial Intelligence, and digital transformation are reshaping industries and business models. * Ability to communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and business audiences through presentations, reports, or collaborative projects. * Curiosity about emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, automation, and digital transformation, and a desire to continuously learn and grow throughout your career. * Bring your curiosity.
