Youth Development Professional Education Lead Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley | Catlin Family Boys & Girls Club Part-Time | 20 hours per week, afternoons | $18.50 – $19.00 per hour Every young person deserves a place to belong and an adult who believes in them. At Boys & Girls Clubs, our mission is to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

At the Catlin Family Boys & Girls Club, that mission comes to life every afternoon, and we're looking for someone ready to help carry it forward. Every member who walks through our doors brings different strengths, needs, and ways of learning. Some have IEPs or 504 plans; many arrive after a full school day ready for a fresh start.

As our Education Lead, you'll meet each young person where they are, turning homework time into progress, adapting activities so everyone can join in, and helping members discover what they're capable of. The Impact You'll Have Champion learning: Lead homework support, tutoring, and academic enrichment using Club programs that build skills for school and beyond.

Make inclusion the standard: Support members with IEPs, 504 plans, and other accommodations, tailoring your approach so every child can participate fully. Be a trusted adult: Provide guidance, encouragement, and emotional support, using social-emotional skills to help members navigate challenges and grow. Create a space where kids thrive: Keep the program area safe, welcoming, and organized so members can focus, connect, and have fun.

Strengthen our community: Partner with families, schools, and fellow staff to support each member's growth, and help welcome new members to the Club. Measure what matters: Track participation and progress so we can celebrate success and continually improve. Who We're Looking For Demonstrated experience supporting youth with IEPs, 504 plans, or other learning or behavioral accommodations (required) At least one year of experience leading youth programs, tutoring, or after-school activities A genuine belief that every young person can succeed with the right support Patience, flexibility, and a steady presence in a fast-paced environment Warm, clear communication with youth, families, and colleagues High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in education, special education, or child development is a plus Schedule and Pay 20 hours per week, weekday afternoons Pay: $18.

50 – $19.00 per hour These after-school hours are when our members need us most, and they fit well alongside school or other commitments.

Requirements

The safety of our members is our top priority. This role requires: Live Scan fingerprint clearance and background check TB clearance prior to start date CPR and First Aid certification [at hire / within 30 days of hire] This is an active role that involves standing, walking, and occasionally lifting up to 20 lbs. Staff wear athletic shoes and a staff shirt each shift and may occasionally support special events or other Club locations.

Why This Work Matters For many of our members, the Club is the most consistent, encouraging part of their day. The adults here become mentors, role models, and often the reason a young person keeps coming back. If you're looking for work where your effort translates into real growth in a child's life, we'd love to hear from you.
