Coastal Health is looking for a dependable and motivated Medical Assistant to join our growing Orthopedic team! We are seeking someone who thrives in a busy medical office, enjoys working with patients, and is flexible and willing to float to all locations to support daily operations where needed. This is a great opportunity for a team player who enjoys variety in their day and can adapt to the needs of a fast-paced orthopedic practice.

Responsibilities

Assist providers with patient care and daily clinical operations. Room patients, obtain vital signs, and update medical histories. Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies are stocked. Assist providers with examinations and procedures as needed. Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record. Support patient flow and help keep appointments running efficiently.

Float throughout the orthopedic offices to assist staff and provide coverage where needed. Maintain patient confidentiality and follow office policies and procedures.

Qualifications

Previous Medical Assistant experience preferred. Orthopedic experience is a plus! Familiarity with electronic medical records; Athenahealth experience is a plus. Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Reliable, flexible, and committed to providing excellent patient care.
