Anticipated Hall Monitor position available at the Middle School effective on or around November 9, 2026. Hours are 6:45-2:45pm. TITLE: Hall Monitor CATEGORY: III
- Group A REPORTS TO: Building Principal JOB SUMMARY: Supervises hallway activities and entrance/exit areas to assure the well-being and safety of students and staff in non-classroom activities; assures student compliance with school and District rules, policies and procedures.
QUALIFICATIONS
Possesses High School Diploma or Equivalency Possesses applicable experience and/or training, preferred Assures compliance with Employment Eligibility through Criminal History Records, Pre-Employment Drug Testing, and Physical Examination/TB Test Standard Possesses and/or willing to obtain First Aid, CPR, and AED certifications Possesses effective oral and written communication skills Possesses proficiency to operate a computer, assigned software, and other equipment as required Possesses ability to deal courteously and tactfully with students, staff, and the public Possesses ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS: The position holder must be able to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Supervises assigned areas, assuring students are safe, orderly and within supervised areas Assures students arrive to class in a timely manner Enforces school rules, regulations, policies and procedures Responds to student conflicts and fights in a timely manner Initiates student discipline referrals, as necessary Checks students for proper hall pass, identification cards, and proper attire; reports violations to the appropriate building administrator Communicates with students, staff and administrators concerning inappropriate student behavior at assigned activities Reports incidents involving students, staff, and the public to school administrators Reports unusual, suspicious or criminal activities to a building administrator, security officer or school police officer Operates Raptor visitor scanning system Implements appropriate safety and security action within clearly defined guidelines Reports hazardous or dangerous situations on school property to school administrators Supports in the enforcement of district and building emergency procedures including fire drills, visitors on property, etc Checks identification of all visitors Administers basic first aid, if necessary Escorts and directs authorized visitors to desired destinations Assures non-students, who are on campus, are authorized visitors Escorts students to and from administration offices, nurse's office, or other building locations, as necessary Maintains regular and timely attendance SECONDARY JOB FUNCTIONS: Complies with District health and safety regulations Attends meetings and trainings as assigned Performs related duties as assigned PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Demonstrates ability to exchange information in person and on the hand-held communication device Demonstrates ability to move about the building and campus to monitor student activities Demonstrates ability to effectively communicate in order to exchange information HAZARDS: Potential physical hazards involved in intervening in fights and other anti-social, illegal and violent behavior Contact with dissatisfied or abusive individuals MEASURED IN TERMS OF FREQUENCY - select A, B, C or D for the Lifting & Body Movements A B C D NOT AT ALL OCCASIONALLY FREQUENTLY CONSTANTLY 0% 1 - 33% 34 - 66% 67 - 100% TRANSPORT: Up to 10 lbs: C 11 to 20 lbs: B Beyond 20 lbs: B MOBILITY: Possesses ability to move about the building and campus to monitor student activities: D Possesses ability to position self to work with students, staff, and the public D Possesses ability to transport materials and supplies to appropriate locations: C TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: Seven and one-half (7.
