We're looking for an attorney with 3-5 years of litigation experience who is ready to take greater ownership of sophisticated commercial matters. You'll have the opportunity to manage cases from initial strategy through resolution while working closely with experienced attorneys and directly with clients. Our firm takes a collaborative, results-focused approach to practicing law.

We provide sophisticated legal counsel without the constraints of traditional billing models and give our attorneys the autonomy and support to develop thoughtful, practical strategies for their clients. What You'll Work On You'll handle complex commercial disputes involving areas such as: Breach of contract Trade secrets Trademarks and intellectual property Non-compete and employment-related disputes Other complex business and commercial litigation You'll be involved throughout the litigation lifecycle rather than handling only one piece of the process.

What You'll Do

Independently manage commercial litigation matters from pre-suit through resolution, trial, and appeal Develop case strategy and advise clients on legal and business considerations Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery, and other substantive legal documents Take and defend depositions Argue motions and appear at hearings Represent clients in mediations and settlement negotiations Prepare matters for trial and participate in trials when necessary Communicate directly with clients regarding strategy, risk, and case developments Collaborate with other attorneys on complex matters and creative legal strategies What We're Looking For 3-5 years of litigation experience , with commercial or business litigation experience strongly preferred Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of Michigan J.

D. from an ABA-accredited law school Demonstrated ability to independently manage litigation matters Experience drafting substantive pleadings, motions, and briefs Experience taking depositions and arguing motions Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and advocacy skills Strong judgment and ability to provide practical, business-focused legal advice Excellent client communication and relationship-management skills Oakland Lawyers Group, PLLC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
