Therapeutic Support Technician

Therapeutic Support Technician Facility: Kid’s Thrive Dayton Position: Therapeutic Support Technician Schedule: Full-Time Days Make a Difference Every Day! Kid’s Thrive Dayton is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Therapeutic Support Technician to join our team! In this role, you will work closely with children and the clinical team to support daily activities, encourage positive behaviors, and help create an environment that promotes safety, growth, and emotional well-being.

Responsibilities

Provide direct support and supervision to children in a therapeutic setting. Assist with daily routines, structured activities, and therapeutic programming. Encourage positive behaviors and the development of social and coping skills. Support the implementation of individualized treatment and behavioral plans as directed by the clinical team.

Maintain a safe, supportive, and structured environment for all children. Observe and report changes in behavior, mood, or overall well-being. Document activities, observations, and incidents accurately and in accordance with facility policies. Collaborate with nurses, therapists, clinicians, and other team members. Respond appropriately to challenging situations while following established safety and de-escalation procedures.

Maintain confidentiality and comply with applicable policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in behavioral health, psychology, social services, or a related field is a plus. Experience working with children, behavioral health populations, or in a therapeutic environment is preferred. Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. Patience, empathy, professionalism, and a commitment to providing quality care.

Ability to follow instructions, maintain accurate documentation, and work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Ability to meet the physical and safety requirements of the position, with reasonable accommodations as applicable. Required background checks, training, and certifications must be completed in accordance with facility and applicable regulatory requirements.
