Outpatient Group Facilitator Facility: Kid’s Thrive Dayton Position: Outpatient Group Facilitator Schedule: Full-Time Days Make a Difference in the Lives of Children! Kid’s Thrive Dayton is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and skilled Outpatient Group Facilitator to join our team! In this role, you will facilitate therapeutic group sessions, promote positive interactions, and support children in achieving their treatment goals in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

Facilitate structured therapeutic group sessions for children in an outpatient setting. Support the development of emotional regulation, communication, social interaction, and coping skills. Create a safe, welcoming, and supportive group environment. Implement group activities and interventions based on established treatment plans and clinical guidance.

Encourage participation, positive peer interactions, and appropriate behavioral responses. Monitor group dynamics and respond appropriately to behavioral or emotional concerns. Collaborate with therapists, clinicians, families, and other members of the treatment team as appropriate. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of group attendance, participation, progress, and relevant observations.

Communicate concerns and changes in participants’ needs to the appropriate clinical team members. Maintain confidentiality and comply with facility policies, professional standards, and applicable regulations. Follow established safety procedures and use appropriate de-escalation techniques when needed.

Qualifications

Relevant education or experience in behavioral health, psychology, social work, counseling, education, or a related field. Experience working with children or facilitating therapeutic, educational, or behavioral health groups is preferred. Strong communication, organization, and group facilitation skills. Ability to engage children in age-appropriate activities and encourage positive participation.

Compassion, patience, professionalism, and a commitment to supporting children’s emotional and behavioral well-being. Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team. Ability to maintain accurate documentation and protect confidential information. Any required certifications, background checks, and training must be completed in accordance with facility requirements and applicable regulations.
