As a Nursing Assistant you will provide basic, direct patient care, considering specific needs as related to patients age. Assumes responsibility for care of patients and functions as a member of the health care team, taking direction and guidance from Registered Nurse.

All care is provided in compliance with and according to department policy/procedure and Standards of Care. As a Nursing Assistant#(NA), a typical day may include:## Monitoring vital signs such as heart rate and blood pressure Perform EKG#s Draw labs and collect specimens from patients Provide therapeutic groups and recreational activities to patients Assist in nonviolent crisis intervention Promotes and implements in conjunction with RN the concept of patient and family-centered care Observes and reports patient#s responses to intervention/treatments Prepare the patient environment for admission or transfer from another area of hospital Greet and escorts newly admitted patients and families to patient room and orients to surroundings Assures that all patients always have appropriate identification bands on Prepares patient for meals, assists in feeding and/or feeds patient and reports food intake to RN # This role might be for you if: # Thriving in a fast-paced environment energizes you, especially in providing hands-on care to our most vulnerable in an impactful way Collaboration with nurses, doctors and therapists is important to your success as a team player Job satisfaction is derived from comforting those at the bedside Protection of patient safety is essential in your day-to-day work as is delivering exceptional care through compassion and professionalism Continuous learning and growth matter to you To be considered for this Nursing Assistant#opportunity, you must have a High School Diploma / GED and a current American Heart Association BLS certification.

1-2 years of previous experience as Certified Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Certified Medical Assistant or Nursing student with a grade point average of 3.0 or better with one year of clinical experience. Must have experience in an Acute Care setting or an Acute Care Rehabilitation Facility. Scheduling Requirements: Part-time, nights.
