About Cafe Kira Café KIRA is positioned as a more casual, everyday version of KIRA—combining elevated café dining, pastries, drinks and evening dining in a sophisticated Jumeirah neighborhood setting. Role Overview The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee, beverages, and café products while delivering warm, efficient, and consistent customer service.

The role ensures that all drinks meet Café Kira’s quality, presentation, and service standards while maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming café environment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve espresso-based coffee, specialty beverages, teas, and other café drinks according to established recipes and standards. Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, blenders, and other café equipment safely and efficiently. Provide friendly, attentive, and professional service to all guests. Take customer orders accurately and process cash, card, and other payments when required.

Maintain consistent beverage quality, taste, temperature, and presentation. Recommend menu items and assist customers with beverage selections based on their preferences. Prepare and replenish coffee, milk, syrups, garnishes, and other ingredients as required. Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures at all times.

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, service areas, equipment, and workstations. Monitor stock levels and inform the supervisor of shortages or replenishment requirements. Follow proper opening, closing, cleaning, and equipment-maintenance procedures. Handle customer requests, feedback, and concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary.

Support the wider café team during busy periods and assist with other operational duties as required. Adhere to Café Kira’s policies, procedures, grooming standards, and service expectations.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Barista in a café, restaurant, hotel, or similar hospitality environment. Good knowledge of coffee preparation and espresso-making techniques. Strong customer service and communication skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Good attention to detail and commitment to beverage quality.

Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards. Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays. Positive attitude, professional appearance, and strong team spirit.
