Physical Therapy Receptionist

Job Details: Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: Undisclosed, Job Shift: Day, Physical Therapy Receptionist – Full-Time We are seeking a dedicated, dependable, and organized Physical Therapy Receptionist to join our team full-time, Monday–Friday. This position provides reception and departmental support by assisting patients and visitors, coordinating appointments and referrals, managing insurance requirements and authorizations, maintaining accurate patient information and records, and assisting with the daily needs of the Physical Therapy Department.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors, check patients in, and assist with patient flow. Answer incoming calls, direct calls, relay messages, and schedule patient appointments. Verify insurance coverage and benefits and obtain and track insurance authorizations, including approved visits and expiration dates. Coordinate referrals and required documentation with provider offices.

Maintain accurate patient information, files, and departmental records while protecting patient confidentiality. Assist with patient care, treatment preparation, and other departmental needs. Communicate with patients, insurance companies, provider offices, and healthcare staff. Maintain required treatment, billing, and departmental documentation.

Help maintain clean and organized office and treatment areas, including light cleaning as needed. Participate in required meetings and training, work collaboratively with team members and perform other duties necessary to support the Physical Therapy Department.

Qualifications

Previous medical office or healthcare experience preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills. Reliable, dependable, and detail-oriented. Comfortable working directly with patients. Able to work effectively as part of a team.
